Understanding Complementary Colors
Color theory is one thing artists are always learning or should be trying to learn because it is so important to your artwork. The art police won’t come knocking at your door, but your art improves when you understand how color works.
In this video you will learn about complementary colors and how to best use them. If you place them next to each other they pop and if you mix them they go dull. You’ll also learn why, where and how to use those dull colors to improve your art.
Everything in a painting can’t be the star. Someone has to sing backup. Mixed complements not only sing back up but they make the star look and feel so much better you won’t want to leave them out.
