This class will teach you step by step how to:

  • Do a soft mottled background
  • Paint leaves, stems and curlicues
  • Paint white daisies (using color theory and shading)
  • Use color to create form
  • Understand and use the tools you need
  • Finish the painting

I’ll show you what type of canvas I paint on (feel free to use a 140 lb watercolor paper instead), the brushes I use, and how I mix my paint. I go through it all, step-by-step, so you can start your journey off right.

What tools will I need?

Inside the course is a shopping list, but basically you will need:

  • 2-4 brushes
  • about 8 colors of paint
  • something to paint on
  • some type of palette, but it could be a foam plate
  • a cup of water to rinse brushes in
  • paper towels (or something else to clean your brushes with)
