“Thinking Inside the Box”

Art Studio in a Box

It’s 10 p.m.  Where Are Your Art Supplies?

Is this you?  I would love to paint today, but I’d have to gather up my art supplies from all over the house.  My paints and brushes are in my closet, my canvases are in the utility room, I have no idea what happened to my water basin or my color wheel.  My apron’s in the laundry and we’re out of paper towels and I don’t have a palette I can use.  Oh well, I guess I don’t really feel like painting anyway.

No one would want to go through all that to paint for 30-60 minutes or so, but you don’t have to have a designated studio space to create more and better art.

In this video you will see how I created a studio in a box with my painting supplies and a $10 Sterilite container from a local big box store.

I even painted the lid of the box with a reminder for every one to keep their hands off.  When I had children at home I sewed a lot and everyone knew they were under penalty of death if they even so much as looked at “the good scissors”.  You may have to guard your art supplies like that.

While we’re organizing, I’ve created a painting plan especially for you to help you clarify what you want to paint, what you need to learn and when you’re going to do it.  Click that big beautiful button to receive it in your inbox.

Here’s the list of what’s inside the box and links if you need to up your game in the art supply category.
