Time Sensitive
The Beginner’s Painting Club has swung its door open wide for the first time this year and I’m inviting you in to kick the tires, (so to speak).
With this video to learn more.
As I was creating this monthly membership, I reached in to the way back machine to remember exactly what would have been helpful when I was learning to paint. I came up with these three areas all beginners really need.
Fundamentals of Art
Fundamentals are things like;
- color theory
- values
- composition
- perspective
- tools of the trade
- balance
- highlights and shadows
So I created a section with short, easily digestible lessons on fundamentals of art. These lessons aren’t the sexiest lessons, but they are the building blocks that all art is built on. As an artist you will never learn it all about color theory or values so these lessons get the beginner or intermediate artist on solid footing to create better art.
Elements of Art
The Elements of Art actually came to me in a dream as I had been thinking about what would benefit the beginning artist the most. I honestly think this is the most ingenious aspect of the Beginner’s Painting Club and I’ve never seen anything like it.
I teach 4 basic types of paintings:
- Landscapes
- Seascapes
- Florals
- Still Life
Each of those types of paintings have basic elements in them. For example – in a landscape painting you’ll want to know how to paint trees, rocks, skies, clouds, streams, grasses, and on and on. I break those elements down into individual bite sized lessons. So if you wanted to paint a landscape, you would go to elements of art, click on landscape and BOOM- all these different elements of a landscape open up and you can select what you want to work on. It’s quick and easy and you can watch it over and over as you paint it and improve your art without having to watch an entire video to find the part of the lesson you really want.
No longer will you be hunting all over YouTube to find a lesson presented like this.
Painting Classes
The third section of the Beginner’s Painting Club is actual start to finish paintings. There is an entire library of paintings and more are added every single month. I pick out parts of the monthly painting that might be new or more difficult and I teach them in the Elements of Art that month and then you can immediately put them into practice in a painting or create one of your own.
Private Facebook Group
And if all that wasn’t enough, you will also be invited into the private Facebook group where you can ask questions you were afraid to ask elsewhere. We are all in the same boat and your fellow artists can help and encourage you. I hop in there live usually on Mondays around 10 a.m. I might teach something I found interesting that week, cheerlead you on, motivate you, hopefully inspire you and for a few minutes we’ll have a time at the beginning of the week to connect and get back on track.
So there you have it. I only open the Beginner’s Painting Club 3 times a year and now is that time. So are you in? Are you that person that wants to learn to paint and is tired of hunting all over the internet for just the right way to learn. I think this could be it and I would love to meet you on the inside.
