Using Color to Create Perspective
Last week we learned how to mix the color green. Click HERE if you didn’t see that video. This week we’re going to take a look at how to create depth in your painting using green.
There are basic rules to understand in creating perspective with color.
- Things in background are cooler, duller and have less detail
- Things in foreground warmer, brighter and have more detail
In the video I showed you two paintings and how color creates the perspective. There are various ways to create perspective in your artwork and color is just one of them. Understanding how all these work together is critical for the beginning artist to form good habits from the get go.
If you would like to learn more about perspective, please join me in a FREE 3 day live workshop on my Facebook page.
