Paint a Simple Landscape
During the month of January I’ve produced 8 posts and videos all designed for the beginning artist on how to get started painting.
In this video we will take everything we’ve learned this month and put it all to use in this simple landscape. In this full tutorial you will paint
- A sky giving it depth
- Foreground grass giving it distance
- A tree trunk, branches and limbs
- Decide where the light is in your painting
- Highlight the tree and leaves according to the light
- Leaves with 3-5 values
- Seat the tree in the grass
- Tall weeds and seed pods
That’s a lot to learn in an hour and 5 minutes.
