Why I Only Teach Beginners
In 1999 I was a very sick girl and getting sicker every day. Early in 2000 I was hospitalized for what seemed to be pneumonia that would not heal. I soon learned it was not pneumonia at all but a rapidly advancing case of scleroderma. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that usually affects your skin making it hard, tight and thick. Mine however was on my internal organs, namely my lungs, heart and esophagus.
Within a year I was on a heart and lung transplant list and then was abruptly removed from it because they felt the scleroderma would attack the new organs as it had my original ones, so they didn’t want to waste them on me. I was basically told to get my affairs in order and that I might have 45 more days because I was loosing lung capacity at such an alarming rate. So I went home and got my affairs in order and then decided “before I go” I want to learn to paint.
This video tells the rest of the story as to how, when and why I learned to paint and how I got better. Click HERE to watch the video.
