Learning to paint is a skill
I’m embarrassed to admit this, but…
I couldn’t have been more wrong about artists needing direction or instruction.
I used to think it was all talent.
You either had it or you didn’t
Then I realized painting is a skill.
And was shocked to discover you can learn a skill, practice a skill, and IMPROVE a skill!
Turns out that is absolutely what it takes to learn to paint.

As a result:
- I create more art.
- I create better art.
- I sell more art.
I’ve never been happier to be wrong about something.
