Personally I did not draw for the first seven years I painted because I thought I was so terrible at it. But I realized I needed to improve my drawing to improve my paintings. With continued study and practice, I began to improve both my drawings and paintings.
Drawing is also fun and something you can do almost anywhere. It takes very few supplies or space.
