Prize From Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff

I WON!

Prize from Chap Joe's Art Stuff During Plein Air Live

Prize From Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff

I know right!  I can’t believe I want this prize from Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff during Plein Air Live.  I knew I won something during the 4 day event I went to in March, (virtually of course), but I didn’t really know what it was until it was delivered.

Inside the box was a truly great tote bag just for artists.  It would be great to use when panting on location – also known as Plein Air because it was large enough for several canvases, pockets from brushes, gusseted to make it large enough for paints and other supplies.  It even had two side poskets that holds water bottle or other snacks or supplies.

The prize from Cheap Joe’s also had 3 tubes of oil paint, a 9″ x 12″ linen canvas panel, and a #6 bristle brush.  I can’t wait to try them all out.

If you’re looking for art supplies, Cheap Joe’s is a great online place to shop.  Here’s a link for their website.

I won this prize from Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff while I participated in the virtual Plein Air Live event.  During the virtual conference I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best plein air painters in the world about their process, how they did things and their mindset.  It was a 4 day event and worth every penny and every minute.  I learned so much and I’m using that information every day in my own art.

I’ve already purchased my ticket for next year and if you’re interested here’s a link where you can get your own ticket.

How To Improve Your Art

One of the best ways I know of to improve your art is to avail yourself of art education.  Follow artists you love and engage in their work.  Look for artists that you think are better than you and see if they teach virtually or in person.  Classes are not cheap but you get what you pay for.  Even just a little instruction can propel you ahead in your art journey by years.

I Teach Beginners

If you are a beginner or you think of yourself as a beginner, I hope you’re following me here on this blog and on my YouTube channel.

I only teach beginners because 22 years ago when I first started I had a very difficult time learning how to start.  That was before the internet when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, but it can still be daunting today.  Why is that?  One reason is many artists hold things back either intentionally or unintentionally.  That’s really not my still of teaching.

I Want You To Succeed

I hold nothing back.  If I know it I’m going to try to help you know it.  I don’t mean drinking from a fire hose kind of information, but the types of tools, techniques and everything about a particular topic.

If that sounds like a teacher you’d like to connect with, then like, share, comment and let’s get to know each other.

Opportunity’s Knockin!

My monthly membership, The Beginner’s Painting Club only opens twice a year and you’re in luck, it’s open right now through the end of April.  Click that big beautiful button to learn more and join us if it speaks to you.

I’d love to see you in there and then in November 2025 maybe we can hang out at Plein Air Live.  Opportunities are out there.  All you have to do is let them in.  (A line I stole from the Jesse Stone movies starring Tom Selleck.)

Have a great day and let’s paint together real soon!

Sharon

P.S.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  It means the world to me.
