What is Acrylic Paint
Acrylic paint is its own animal and has many qualities that I absolutely love.
- I love that it dries quickly.
- I love that you can clean it up with soap and water.
- I love the vibrant colors it has.
In this video I’ll explain the difference between craft paint, student grade paint, and heavy body professional paint.
When learning to paint, I believe a good student grade paint is best. I would steer clear of really discounted paints, or paints that are almost generic in name.
In order to keep the cost down early in your art journey, I recommend buying the three primary colors, red, blue, and yellow, titanium white and Mars black. It’s a really good idea to learn how to mix paint creating the colors you want.
