Artsmith Hookers Green Paint from JoAnn;s Fabrics
I went shopping on Black Friday with my daughter. It’s a tradition that got hi-jacked during the pandemic. And I had to wander over to the artist supplies, (you know me), and I saw this student grade paint I’d never seen before. I thought I’d give it a look see to determine if it was anything that would be good for beginning artists to use.
This video shows my comparison of Artsmith paint to craft paint and to the Utrecht paint I usually use.
I’ve said this before about craft paint. It is great for what it was created for. Crafts. But if you’re serious about learning to paint in a fine art style, it is not the best product for the job.
Craft paint does not have the pigment you’ll need as a fine art painter. It has been watered down and is too thin with less pigment for you to accomplish your goal.
Artsmith paint is a student grade paint and you can watch the whole video right here.
